Harold D. Clapsaddle - Obituary

Harold D. Clapsaddle, 86, of Fort Myers passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007.

Born in Covington, OK, Harold proudly served in the U.S. Air Corps as a 1st Lt. pilot flying the famed B-24 Liberator bomber on missions in the Pacific during WWII. He was stationed in Australia and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal for his sacrifice and bravery. Harold was a long standing member of the Shriners of the Araba Temple in Ft. Myers and dedicated many hours to the transportation of children to the Hospital and Burn Center.

Dearest Husband - Thank you for the years we had together. I shall love you and miss you always. Rest my love in everlasting peace. Your loving wife always, Norma.

Harold is survived by his loving wife of 10 years Norma; daughter Mary Ellen (Bruce) Lyons of Wynne Wood, OK; 3 grandsons Jereme, Patrick and Andrew Lyons; son Harold Dee of Henryetta, OK and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his 1st wife Betty Jo; daughter Betty Joann Hersh and son David Wade.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 27, 2007 at the chapel of the Coral Ridge Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Harold's name to: The Shriner Children's Fund and or the Animal Rescue Center.
